What makes garage doors in The Antelope Valley a little different
Outside the Lancaster/Palmdale cores, the Antelope Valley is rural — long driveways, ranch properties, custom homes, agricultural operations. A few service notes for the rural AV:
- Ranch garage doors are bigger. 18-ft and 20-ft wide doors are normal. We carry the right tracks and the right springs for wider openings.
- Detached garages and workshops. A lot of properties have separate workshop/garage buildings. We install full-size and oversize commercial-grade doors on shops, including insulated.
- Battery backup is more important out here. SCE outages are more frequent and longer in rural AV. SB-969 battery backup is required by law and genuinely useful — gets you in and out of your garage during a power outage.
- Wildlife seal-up. Bottom seals matter more out here — keeps out everything from blowing sand to actual scorpions and rattlesnakes. We replace bottom seals on rural AV homes constantly.
