Wind Zone Checker

What wind exposure is your garage door rated for?

Enter your Antelope Valley ZIP code. We'll tell you the local wind exposure category and what reinforcement (struts, wind-load panels) is recommended for your door.

Why this matters

The Antelope Valley is a high-wind corridor — 35–50 mph gusts are common October through April. Garage doors are the single biggest opening in most houses, and a high-wind event can fail an undersized door, ripping it off its tracks or blowing it inward. We add horizontal struts and recommend wind-rated panels in the wind-loaded parts of the AV.

Live wind reading comes from the National Weather Service (NWS) gridpoints API. Wind zone categories follow ASCE 7 / California IBC §1620 exposure classifications. We'll engineer your door to local code at install.
